Become a Subject Matter Expert
The CLLP™ credential is built by practitioners, for practitioners. Our Subject Matter Expert panel is how the field builds its own examination.
The work that builds the credential itself.
Subject Matter Experts contribute directly to the technical foundation of the CLLP™ examination: the job task analysis that defines the competency domains, the writing and review of examination items, and the standard-setting studies that determine passing criteria. This is specialized, structured work governed by psychometric protocols — distinct from the knowledge-building and field leadership work of the Fellows Program.
How the panel works
Who we're looking for
Active or recently active LTACH leaders and clinicians with direct operational, clinical, regulatory, or financial responsibility in the long-term acute care setting. No prior item-writing or psychometric experience is required — training is provided.
A note on independence
Subject Matter Expert participation is a technical, structured contribution to examination development under the Credentialing Board's governing protocols. It carries no role in certifying individual candidates, and no compensation of any kind is tied to the certification results of any candidate.
